Corrosion resistance

The alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in fluorine gas, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid and their derivatives. Acid medium: M400 is corrosion-resistant in sulfuric acid with a concentration of less than 85%. M400 is one of the very few important materials that can resist hydrofluoric acid. Water corrosion: In most water corrosion conditions, M400 alloy not only has excellent corrosion resistance, but also rarely suffers from pitting corrosion and stress corrosion, with a corrosion rate of less than 0.025mm/a. High temperature corrosion: The maximum temperature at which M400 can work continuously in air is generally around 600℃, and in high-temperature steam, the corrosion rate is less than 0.026mm/a. Ammonia: Due to the high nickel content of Monel 400 alloy, it can resist corrosion under anhydrous ammonia and ammoniation conditions below 585℃.

Monel K-500

Monel 501, also known as

The main component of Monel 501 is nickel, which accounts for about 63% to 67% of the total alloy. Nickel is a silvery-white metal with good ductility and toughness. In Monel 501, nickel is used as the base metal to provide the alloy with good strength and corrosion resistance. In addition, the high ductility of nickel also makes the alloy easier to form during processing.

In addition to nickel and copper, Monel 501 also contains a small amount of aluminum and titanium. The addition of aluminum can improve the strength and hardness of the alloy, while titanium helps to refine the grain structure of the alloy and further improve its mechanical properties. The content of these elements is usually low, but the impact on the performance of the alloy cannot be ignored.

Whether it is equipment in the marine environment or pipes and containers in chemical production, Monel 501 can show its excellent performance and reliability. This makes it one of the preferred materials for engineers and designers when facing complex and harsh working environments.

Monel 505 alloy

Monel 505, also known as UNS N04405, the chemical composition of Monel 505 mainly includes nickel (Ni), copper (Cu) and a small amount of iron (Fe), manganese (Mn) and other trace elements. Among them, nickel is the main component of Monel 505, usually accounting for 63% to 67% of the total alloy. The presence of nickel not only enhances the strength and toughness of the alloy, but also improves its corrosion resistance and high temperature stability. Copper is the second largest component of the alloy, accounting for about 28% to 33%. The addition of copper enhances the corrosion resistance of the alloy, especially in reducing media such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, etc. Monel 505 is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant nickel-copper alloy. Its excellent corrosion resistance, high strength and good mechanical properties make it widely used in chemical industry, marine engineering, nuclear industry and other fields.
