Material system and type


- Core alloy category:

- Corrosion-resistant alloy strip: such as Hastelloy C-276 and Monel 400, containing nickel, chromium, molybdenum and other elements, suitable for strong corrosive environment;

- High temperature alloy strip: such as Inconel 625 and Incoloy 800H, with excellent high temperature strength and oxidation resistance;

- Precision functional alloy strip:

- Soft magnetic alloy: such as 1J50 and 1J79, used for transformer core and magnetic shielding materials;

- Expansion alloy: such as 4J36 (Invar alloy) and 4J42, with low thermal expansion coefficient, used for precision instrument structural parts;

- Elastic alloy: such as 3J53 and 3J58, with high elasticity and fatigue life, suitable for springs and diaphragms.

- Typical grade characteristics:

- 1J79 Permalloy strip: initial magnetic permeability exceeds 100,000, used for high-frequency electromagnetic components;

- 4J36 Invar alloy strip: in the range of -200℃~200℃, the thermal expansion coefficient is ≤1.5×10⁻⁶/℃.


Performance characteristics


- Dimension and surface accuracy:

- Thickness tolerance: ±0.005mm~±0.02mm (conventional), ultra-thin strip (≤0.1mm) tolerance can reach ±0.002mm;

- Width tolerance: ±0.1mm~±0.5mm, narrow strip slitting accuracy is higher;

- Surface quality: cold-rolled bright surface Ra≤0.8μm, polished Ra≤0.2μm, meeting mirror or coating requirements.

- Mechanical and functional properties:

- Strength and toughness: Hastelloy C-276 has a room temperature tensile strength of ≥730MPa and good cold bending formability;

- Corrosion resistance: It has strong corrosion resistance in seawater, hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid and other media, and is suitable for marine engineering and chemical equipment;

- Functional performance:

- Magnetic properties: Soft magnetic alloy strips have high magnetic permeability and low remanence in weak magnetic fields;

- Elastic properties: The elastic limit of elastic alloy strips is ≥1400MPa, and the fatigue life exceeds 10⁷ times;

- Low expansion: Invar alloy strips can achieve low thermal stress sealing with ceramics and glass.

- Processing adaptability:

- It can be precisely formed by stamping, etching, welding (laser welding, TIG welding) and other processes;

- Ultra-thin strips (≤0.05mm) require special processes to control stress and avoid deformation.


Specifications and manufacturing process


- Dimensions:

- Thickness: 0.01mm~3mm (foil, thin strip, thick strip);

- Width: 10mm~1500mm, narrow strip (≤50mm) is often used for electronic components;

- Length: The coil length can reach hundreds of meters, and the straight strip is usually 2m~6m.

- Manufacturing process:

- Cold rolling process: Control the grain size and hardness through multiple cold rolling and annealing treatments;

- Surface treatment: bright annealing, electrolytic polishing, passivation treatment or coating with protective film (such as anti-rust oil, PE film);

- Special processing: striping, rewinding, punching and forming (customized special-shaped strips).

- Implementation standards:

- American standard: ASTM B162 (nickel alloy strip), ASTM A626 (stainless steel precision strip);

- National standard: GB/T 2072 (nickel and nickel alloy strip), GB/T 15018 (precision alloy strip).


Application fields


- Electronics and semiconductors:

- Integrated circuit lead frame (42 alloy belt), low thermal expansion matching chip packaging;

- Magnetic shielding cover (1J79 belt), used for mobile phones and precision instruments to resist electromagnetic interference;

- Lithium battery tabs (nickel belt), with both conductivity and corrosion resistance.

- Aerospace:

- Engine sealing gaskets (Inconel alloy belt), resistant to high temperature and gas corrosion above 650℃;

- Thin-walled catheter coating (titanium alloy belt), reducing weight while enhancing fatigue resistance.

- Precision instruments:

- Precision springs (3J53 belt), used for clocks and sensors, with stable elasticity;

- Heat exchanger fins (Hastelloy alloy belt), efficient heat dissipation in chemical environments.

- Medical and bioengineering:

- Medical sutures (cobalt-based alloy belt), good biocompatibility and high strength;

- Implantable device housing (pure titanium belt), resistant to body fluid corrosion and no rejection reaction.
